The city under

The ancient spaceship just came down here to refuel and was immobilised by local inhabitants. The city was built around it, exploiting the energy and materials. The ship still provides the energy for all the surrounding city, but the output is slowly decreasing, and the sudden end of it could be disastrous. What are the odds of a second ship ever coming to save us ?
